What the heck is this? This is a shuffler that picks at random from a list of titles and displays one every time you click the button. The list of titles is selected from the Daozang. The Daozang is a catalog of scrolls from ancient China. Most of these scrolls have never been translated into English aside from their titles. These title translations are per "The Taoist Canon, A Historical Companion to the Daozang" edited by Kristofer Schipper and Franciscus Verellen, The University of Chicago Press. These scrolls are not necessarily exclusively full of valueless poppycock, although an informed guess would say that occult poppycock makes up the majority of the contents of these scrolls. The point of this silly little shuffler is simply to give the user a sense of just how massive the body of untranslated arcana in ancient Chinese scrolls exists under the designation "Daoism-related stuff". Per the wikipedia page for Daozang, the 1444 version of the Daozang catalogged 5300 scrolls (many works are multiple scrolls long).
